January 10th, 1955 is a date of the basis of educational establishment. Then, according to the decision of Ministerial council of the USSR from 13.12.1954 on the basis of a factory «Gomselmash« the Ministry of automobile, tractor and agricultural mechanical engineering of the USSR has been opened the Gomel Machine-Building Technical School.

Today our Gomel State Machine-Building Technical School is one of the largest average special educational establishments of the Gomel area and Republic of Belarus. Education in technical school can be received on day time, correspondence and evening forms.

More than 1300 pupils receive knowledge on following specialities: «The Technology of Mechanical Engineering», «The Software of information technologies», «Maintenance service of the process equipment and means of a robotics in the automated manufacture», «Metallurgical processes and material's processing», «Book keeping, the analysis and the control», «Economy and the organization of manufacture», «Commercial activity», «Machines and technology of processing materials pressure».

For more than 50 years of activity by educational establishment it is prepared over 18 thousand experts of a machine-building structure. Many of them became masters and chiefs of changes, shops and the enterprises, politicians, scientific, workers of machine-building branch of the country.
